120 X 120cm, oils on canvas
Proliferation Dance, Green Lane
In this painting I was trying to recreate the memory of walking down and avenue of cherry blossom trees on the way to school when the petals were blowing in the wind and falling like confetti all over me. Paying close attention to the bluebells, thrift and seasonal flowers where I live now on the Pembrokeshire Coast. It was such an ecstatic feeling, just right as an expression of the energy of Spring in May!
And it is a big painting!
The sanguine pleasure felt by the child.
